2013 Update:
2010 This is my family after we survived a week together in Denver, CO. My husband and kids love to ski but I do not like it at all. I wore an oxygen mask at night because I had trouble breathing so high up in the mountains. My favorite thing to do is swim. I was a lifeguard when I was a teenager. Now, my son, Matt is a lifeguard for the City of Topeka at the pool in Gage Park (by the zoo). He is 18 and is a senior at Washburn Rural High School. My daughter, Anna, is 16 and a sophomore at Washburn Rural High School. Becca my youngest daughter (she is 13) and she goes to school at Washburn Rural Middle School. She is in the seventh grade.
My husband, Warren, worked for Hills Pet Food when we first moved to Topeka in 2007. Now, he works for Johnsonville Sausage (in Wisconsin)...so buy those kind of Brats!
2011-2012 This is is my first year teaching. I gained my license in Secondary (Middle School & High School) English from Washburn University in 2010. I was a para in Silver Lake in 2011 to gain experience in Special Education. I am currently working on a masters degree at Washburn for Adaptive Special Education for grades 6 though 12. I loved being a substitute teacher at Oskaloosa for Fall 2012.
As of 2013, we are living in LaGrange, KY and I am looking for a position to teach Middle School or High School English. Matt is now at KU (not UK) as a freshman. Anna now attends OCHS as a junior and Rebecca is an eighth grader at OCMS. Warren works downtown Louisville at Humana. We love Kentucky (I grew up near Lexington in a little town called Stanton).
